Don Meuang Airport Hall

when i woke up all the people are gone. my folks are making last minutes shopping, my sister & in-law are in the office. then at at 10 monica came back with some durians, then my folks came. they packed their way much luggage. then after some apartment shots we all went downstaris, for sony already waiting on the car. we are going to drove my folks to the airport, they’re departing to CGK today.

after check-in, we had lunch on the 2nd floor of don muang. kangkung and black pepper beef. then i went to the lavatory and browse some books on the airport bookstore.

on theway back from the airport, photographed the elephant building. there’s this building in sight on the toll highway to the airport, which resembles an elephant: 3 columns of tower (legs) joined together by the body of the elephant. there’s his trunks and face as well.

Pantip IT Plaza

Pantip IT Plaza

looking through all the builboards, franz ferdinand, oasis, placebo et al will play here in bangkok on february! came to mind, saw posters he other day at siam paragon: 50 cent and fort minor will play here also. and backstreet-boys. guess all the artist tour agents find it safe here in bangkok, way safer than in jakarta.

i got dropped of in front of pantip, for they all want to go back to the embassy. had my passport copied like my sister advised. pantip is mangga dua version of it center here in bangkok. the same vibe: lines of shop kiosk filled up front to the lobby and stuff. browsed the shops, bought myself some stuff in one of the IT superstore. read some displayed magazine, well, not read though. all are in thai. nice magazines cover all type of areas.

Durian Street Vendor

Durian Street Vendor

the uppermost store is their version of ‘IT CarreFour’. There’s this special sale of buy-1-get-1 deal on notebook bag. buy one model, get other model. nice.

walked back to the apartment. took pictures along the way. buy durian monthong on the street vendor. managed to catch magrib home
